Privacy

The short version: no cookies, no analytics, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

The free calculators

The calculators run entirely in your web browser. The salary, mortgage or price you type is worked out on your own device and is never sent to HonestSums or anyone else. Nothing is saved: close or refresh the page and it is gone.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it loads nothing from other websites. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical details of each request (such as your IP address) to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. HonestSums does not use that information to identify or follow you. Cloudflare's own privacy policy explains how it handles this data.

Buying a spreadsheet

The spreadsheets are sold through Etsy and Payhip. When you buy, those platforms handle your order and payment under their own privacy policies. I only receive the details they pass on to fulfil your order. I do not store them elsewhere, add you to mailing lists or share them.

Emailing me

If you email honestsums@gmail.com, I use your email only to reply to you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Email honestsums@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
